Which tours do you offer?

We run two experiences out of Galveston’s historic Strand District:

Taste of the Strand Food Tour — Our original. A relaxed guided walk through the Strand with food tastings at local casual eateries. Family-friendly, all ages welcome. About 2+ hours.

Tapas on the Strand — A food and drink pairing experience for adults. Small plates and adult beverages at locally owned spots. 21+ only, approximately 2 hours.

What does it cost?

Taste of the Strand Food Tour

Adults (16+) — $125  |  Seniors, Veterans, First Responders, Teachers — $99  |  Children (8–15) — $75  |  Small Children (1–7) — Free, shares food with a paying adult  |  Private Couples — $650  |  Private Group (up to 16) — $1,700

Tapas on the Strand

Adults 21+ — $155  |  Seniors 65+ — $150  |  Young Adult / No Alcohol — $125  |  Private Couples — $830  |  Private Group (up to 18) — $2,190

What’s included?

Your ticket covers the guided tour and all food tastings. Alcoholic beverages are not included — you’re welcome to purchase them separately at any stop. Gratuity for restaurant staff is handled; guide tips are appreciated but never required.

Can you accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Our stops are real working restaurants serving a preset menu — we don’t control or modify what they prepare. If ingredient control is a health necessity for you, this may not be the right fit. Tour stops and menu items vary by season and holidays.

What are the age requirements?

Taste of the Strand — All ages welcome. Children 7 and under are free. A valid 21+ photo ID is required to purchase alcohol at any stop.

Tapas on the Strand — Adults 21+ with valid ID. Young adults under 21 may join at the non-alcohol rate but cannot be served alcohol at any stop.

What should I bring?

A good appetite, comfortable shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing. Bring a valid photo ID if you plan to purchase alcohol. And leave some room — the portions are generous.

Do you do private tours?

Yes — private tours are available for couples, families, corporate outings, reunions, bridal parties, birthdays, and more. See pricing above. For groups larger than 16 (Taste) or 18 (Tapas), give us a call and we’ll work something out.

What about bad weather or cancellations?

Tours run rain or shine. All tickets are non-refundable — your spot is reserved and restaurant stops are set in advance. Please double-check your date before booking.

How is this different from Pubs N’ Grubs?

Pubs N’ Grubs is a separate company — adults-only (21+), drink-forward, evenings nightly. Our tours here are family-friendly and food-first. Same historic Strand neighborhood, different experience.

Pubs N’ Grubs offers three editions: Sip (3 stops, 2 hours), Savor (4-5 stops, 3 hours), and Soak (6+ stops, max 8 guests). All include craft cocktails, local bites, and live music most nights. All-inclusive, $0 extra ever.
