As Galveston Island’s original food tour, Taste of The Strand leads walking foodies tours through the Historic Downtown Strand District. The original Taste of The Strand Food Tour is a family friendly tasting experience. The newly launched Tapas on The Strand Tour, which brings together the island’s unique food and signature or specialty drinks at each stop, is perfect for those 21 and up wanting to set their watches to Island Time.
Embracing their new theme of “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere”, this new tour Tapas on The Strand was designed with adult beverage connoisseurs in mind. Stops feature local bars and restaurants serving tapas and cocktails that change along with the seasons. Visitors will also be informed on some of Galveston’s iconic sights, shops and destinations.
Started in 2017, Taste on The Strand has been giving tours of the diverse and beautiful dining destination to eager travelers, tourists, foodies and anyone curious about getting to know the island city of Galveston better with two-hour experiences along the historic downtown beachfront street.
The Taste on The Strand is re-launching with pandemic sensitive walking tours that are in full compliance with Texas state mandates.
